AACMA makes ground breaking steps towards RACGP recognition

The Australian acupuncture association AACMA is making small but ground breaking steps towards recognition from the medical establishment.

AACMA President, Waveny Holland, has been in talks with the RACGP (The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners) since July with the view to improve our status and profile with GPs. As a consequence of these negotiations, the Chair of their Integrative Medicine Department will include the AACMA website and member search function in the newsletter to their members with information regarding the inclusion of Chinese medicine and AACMA members in their referral pathways.

This is more welcome news following on from AACMA member inclusion in the referral pathways by the Queensland Health Persistent Pain Management Network.
