FAQs

What are your operating hours?

We are open from 8.30am – 6.30pm during the week (Monday to Friday) and from 9am to 6pm on Saturday.

Appointments outside these hours may be taken on occasion so please ask us.

On your first appointment it is best to come 5 minutes earlier to fill out our ‘Client Information Sheet’ . This will provide an overview of your relevant medical history and the reasons you have sought treatment with us.

What are your treatment durations?

  • Remedial Massage: ½ hour, ¾ hour, 1 hour, 1½ hour
  • Acupuncture: 1 hour (inital) & 45 minutes (follow-up visits)
  • Acupuncture & Massage: 1 hour, 1 hour 15 min , 1½ hour

Can I reschedule or cancel an appointment?

We understand that changing situations need to be accommodated and welcome you to contact us to re-schedule your appointment as necessary. The appointment time is reserved for you so we ask that you give us 24 hours notice if you cannot attend. If cancellations are made in less than 24 hours, and if you cannot re-schedule within the week, you may be billed at 50% of the nominal fee.

What can I expect during your consultation?

With skill I will build a picture based on your current complaint. Further questions maybe asked regarding your past medical history. I will listen to the sound and timbre of your voice while you inform me, when appropriate, relevant information regarding your digestive and bowel habits, your menstrual cycle, your fears and dislikes, what exacerbates and what eases your pain and distress.

  • Observe your Tongue (connects to Diagnostic page) and complexion, your gait and range of movement.
  • Feel your Pulse
  • Palpate your skin temperature and texture, strength and flexibility of muscles and joints

With expertise I will evaluate this information and come to understand the flow of Qi and the internal function of your organs. From here a diagnoses of the cause of your discomfort will be found.

Do you take my physical needs into account?

With 30 years of clinic experience, our Massage Therapy treatments are effective and relaxing. As your stress is alleviated and your muscle pain is lessened, you leave with a feeling of calm and well-being.

We take great care to ensure your comfort, yet at times, it may be necessary to go deeper into the muscle layers. At this time good feedback from you is important to ensure the best treatment outcome for you.

What health funds are your treatments covered by?

Our services are covered by all health funds.

Do you offer gift vouchers?
